Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija – The 703rd Infantry (Agila) Brigade under 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division hosted a camping activity for the Bongabon Essential High School students at the 703rd Brigade Headquarters in Barangay Calaanan, Bongabon, Nueva Ecija on January 22-24, 2019.
Attending the said camping were 150 students of the 7th, 8th and 9th grades of Bongabon Essential HS. The Agila Brigade provided assistance and well-prepared facilities for the success and full enjoyment of camping experience for the students.
The unit believed that aside from providing safety and security, they should play a role in nurturing students to become dependable and responsible citizens.
Colonel Andrew D. Costelo, Commander of the 703Bde, expressed his appreciation to the campers decision to hold the camping activity within his headquarters and in return, he, together with his troops saw to it that the campers enjoyed their stay in his camp.
Troops also facilitated activities that helped the campers discover their strengths and weaknesses that will lead them to their full potential.
Further, Col. Costelo said that their troops will always be ready to be a part of the journey of the youth of today to become the country’s future leaders.
Meanwhile, MGen Lenard T Agustin AFP, Commander of 7th Infantry Division, commended the actions of 703Bde and its leadership. He likewise said, “Your Army will continue to help in developing our youth to become better and responsible citizens of our country; it is our commitment not just for this generation but for future generations as well.”
